The benefits are obvious: materials can be transported directly from stock to the hopper using a wheel loader or dump truck. The drum screen with an inner diameter of 1.8 meters can easily process stones up to one meter long. The dimensions and length of the screen openings are custom-made to customer specifications. The particle size can be configured for cleaning materials or producing, for example, crushed stone. Customers use a drum screen to process materials coming from the coal face. They also use it to clean stored materials that could not previously be processed effectively, allowing usable components to be recovered. In this way, a drum screen makes it possible to exploit untapped resources and free up valuable storage space in the quarry. Continuous processing capacities of 300 to 400 tons per hour ensure that customers can respond quickly to their orders. At the same time, the robust drum design ensures reliable operation and minimal wear. A career grows and evolves over time. The extraction area extends from the initial installation location of the system. Distances increase and space requirements change. Therefore, we were asked to make it easier to move our robust and relatively heavy system within the quarry. Due to its stationary nature, the system typically rests on a monolithic concrete foundation. This is where the engineers discovered an opportunity for improvement. This foundation has been replaced by a very stable subframe. This improvement enables easy movement of the drum within the quarry. Moreover, foundation construction costs are eliminated, which significantly reduces investment costs for the client. Currently, a project is in the execution phase. An overview of the system is already available using the CAD model.
